Musicians & Music

Yeah some of these are from my past, and some are from my future, but this partial list explains a few things. Also, don’t be turned off by seeing artist X next to artist Y. I’ll explain my reasons to any snobs if need be. There’s also a big fricking PDF coming soon.

Compose

1967 -Retro-rawk with delusions of grandeur. Never really did much of anything with it.

1984 -Dystopian poetry + industrial music. Two songs later, it was never fully explored.

ansomatica -Experimental electronica, drill’n'bass, ambient soundscapes and general minimalist/wierdness.

bliss -Alternative-rawk coolness. I conceptualized songs, sang and played guitar. Now retired.

dj nem0 -My first foray into the world of electronica. Acid-trance, cheezy builds and neat sampling. Officially dead.

Erfinder Rotwang -Industrial music inspired by magickal inventor of Metropolis fame. Officially dead, unless live.

the Greatest Robot in the World -poser/garage/retro/no-wave/new-wave/punq/ass rawk two piece. Officially dead.

the Hurt -dj alias for 80s/darkwave/goth sets I never spun.

Joe Pataydis -Three guys making funny songs and clips about in-jokes and regional stereotypes. Officially dead?

lain -My goth dream band with Josie and Ash that never went anywhere. Officially dead.

libellule -One-man experimental punk/noise outfit. My only exclusively French project. Officially dead.

Loss -A blend of synth-pop and goth-dance. Officially dead.

Patrick McMaster -A handful of tunes by me, and then years later a full-length LP. Officially, wait a minute…

Somasathanus -Back when I cared that AJ still talked to me, I had a Baba Yaga-inspired terror metal project. Officially dead.

The Special Puppets -”Charlottetown’s first and only improvisational grunge band” never played a show. Officially dead.

Under Cover of Darkness -A project that never got off the ground, supposed to make beautiful night music. Officially dead.

Produce

I’ve produced a handful of records so far, and have worked some live shows both for lighting and sound. I enjoy working with sound.

Laurie Boswall - Smoke and Sky
